Egypt Highlights Tour Itinerary

Day 1: ARRIVE CAIRO - Representative will meet you at airport before passport control to assist you, transfer to hotel, settle in to hotel, enjoy our Welcome Dinner and getting to know your fellow travelers.

Day 2: FULL DAY EXLPORING GIZA PLATEAU - Breakfast at hotel. Guided tours of the incredible Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Museum. After the guided tour of the museum you will have time to explore more of the museum (and lunch at one if its restaurants). A trip to Egypt is not complete without learning about the art of papyrus making so we will visit a Papyrus Gallery followed by a bit of shopping at the Cotton Shop. (Cairo Hotel, Breakfast)
3: OUR FIRST EXPERIENCE ON THE NILE - Breakfast; early morning flight to Aswan; and our first trip traversing the Nile. We will board a motor boat to travel to Agilkia Island to tour the Philae Temple Complex. Since ancient Egyptian times, people have used the Egyptian oils for medicinal and aromatic purposes. Today we learn about some of the most precious oils at the Oil Palace. In the afternoon we will board our Nile River Boat and and have lunch. Evening includes dinner and the special nighttime activities on the boat. (Nile Cruise Cabin, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 4: ABU SIMBEL! and an AMAZING SURPRISE! - All meals today will be on board the cruise boat. We will have an early morning departure to see the sun rise over Abu Simbel. Upon returning to Aswan you will enjoy relaxing on the boat while we sailed along the Nile River. Late afternoon will have a guided tour of Kom Ombo Temple Complex and take a visit to the Crocodile Museum. Enjoy your evening in the lounge or on the sun deck. (Nile Cruise Cabin, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 5: LECTURE, LOCKS and LUXOR - All meals today on board the Nile cruise boat. Morning Egyptian History lecture on the sundeck while we sail followed by passing through the Esna Locks. Upon Arrival to Luxor, we have guided tours of Karnak and Luxor Temples and a visit to the Spice Shop to tickle our senses. (Nile Cruise Cabin, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 6: TOMBS, TEMPLES and MONUMENTS - After breakfast we disembark boat and travel to the Valley of the Kings to explore tombs and of some of Egypt's most famous pharaohs. We have guided tours of Hatshepsut Mortuary Temple and Temple of Medinat Habu. A trip to the alabaster factory will show us how they carve the local alabaster.

Day 7: CAIRO THROUGH TIME - After breakfast we take an early morning flight to Cairo to spend the day touring and exploring Cairo landmarks that help us travel from the past to the present - Salah El Din Citadel, Coptic Cairo and Kan El-Khalili Bazaar were you will have time for leisurely lunch and shopping. Late afternoon check into our hotel and gather one last time at our Farewell Dinner
Day 8: Safe travels. Breakfast and departures home.
